Bart Kraakman is Director of Process Engineering and a principal process engineer at JACOBS with 30 years’ experience in the wastewater industry working for many small and large industrial or governmental water utilities. His interests are related to the design and the application of biosolids treatment processes, septicity management in sewage collection systems, and odour and air quality control. He is a globally recognized expert in biological air purification processes and co-author on multiple scientific papers and book chapters in this field. He has been a guest lecturer at several universities and member of technical advisory committees of international conferences. He has a BCs and MSc in Molecular Sciences and a PhD in Chemical and Environmental Engineering. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer and lived and worked in Europe, North America and Asia.
